Our Story
Dentley’s® was born out of our founder’s passion for creating healthy treats that bring joy to dogs and confidence to pet parents. As a lifelong dog lover and parent to three energetic pups, he understood first-hand the difference a quality chew could make in reducing anxiety or destructive chewing behaviors.
After months of testing recipes and sourcing premium ingredients, Dentley’s first product – the original bully stick – was handcrafted with love in a small Southern California kitchen. It quickly became a neighborhood hit with local pups who just couldn’t get enough of these tasty, long-lasting chews.
Word spread fast about Dentley’s irresistible bully sticks. As demand grew, we expanded our product offerings to include more varieties like retriever rolls, tendon twists, trachea chips and of course, our signature femur bones.
Over the years, we’ve proudly watched Dentley’s grow from a humble home business into a leading manufacturer of natural dog chews. But our commitment to quality has never wavered. We still carefully source, inspect and produce our chews in small artisan batches to ensure safety and consistency. Paws down, they’re still the tastiest treats we’ve ever crafted!
Our Ingredients
The key to Dentley’s irresistible flavor and unparalleled quality lies in our meticulous ingredient sourcing and preparation. We use only all-natural ingredients harvested from grass-fed, free-range cattle that have been humanely raised without antibiotics or hormones.
Premium beef is the star of most of our chews. We source juicy cuts like bully sticks, tracheas, tendons and femurs which are naturally rich in protein and collagen. These ingredients provide the mouthwatering meaty flavor dogs crave.
For some of our rawhide and rolled varieties, we use free-range chicken, turkey or pork. The lean meat infuses chews with a savory deliciousness pups will devour. As an extra tasty bonus, many of our rolled chews have a smooth peanut butter or cheese filling in the center!
Vegetable glycerin and honey are also common ingredients found in Dentley’s chews. They give our treats a subtly sweet flavor and help keep chews soft and tender. Glycerin is a natural humectant that retains moisture while honey also provides antibacterial properties.
We know simplicity is best, so you’ll never find long, unrecognizable ingredients on our labels. We exclude wheat, soy, artificial additives or preservatives of any kind. Our chews are also 100% free of rawhide chemicals like sodium sulfide, which can be harsh on your pup’s stomach.
Our Manufacturing Process
Producing safe, high-quality chews is serious business for us! We take great pride in our meticulous, artisan approach to manufacturing.
It all starts with carefully choosing premium cuts of meat like bully sticks, pig ears, or tracheas from grass-fed cattle. Each batch is inspected for quality before entering our human-grade factory.
We slow-roast ingredients at low temperatures which intensifies flavor and naturally preserves the chew. Roasting removes moisture to create a firm, jerky-like texture that satisfies dogs’ urge to gnaw and floss. This step also enhances digestibility.
For filled bones or rolled varieties, we inject a smooth, savory filling like peanut butter or cheese during roasting. This adds even more tantalizing flavor!
Once roasted, our chews are air-dried to lock in aroma and retard bacteria growth. Air-drying is much gentler than harsh chemical tanning processes used by some other brands.
Before packaging, we do one final quality check on each freshly made batch. We examine size, texture, and aroma to ensure consistency. Then, chews are packed in sealed bags to retain freshness.
Our meticulous roasting and drying process means Dentley’s chews are naturally long-lasting. We don’t use any chemical preservatives – the flavor comes from our premium ingredients and time-honored preparation methods.

For the ultimate in taste and texture, try our tantalizing filled bones! We inject roasted marrow bones with irresistible fillings like creamy peanut butter, cheese, or real bacon. These roasted tendons and twists make great alternatives to rawhide. They’re naturally digestible and contain zero chemicals. Rolls & Chips
For variety, try our savory rolls and chips! Dentley’s roasted rolls are wrapped in natural rawhide or tender turkey/chicken skins. We also make rawhide-free options wrapped in duck. Big on flavor but easy on digestion, they provide longer-lasting entertainment.
Our hearty rawhide or trachea chips are crispy, crunchy bites packed with protein. They’re perfect for smaller pups or light chewers. Toss a few chips their way for a tasty, occupying snack time treat!
Filled Hoofs & Horns
Get ready for some hoof-licking, horn-chomping action! We fill roasted hoofs and horns with irresistible smooshy stuffings pups dig like peanut butter, cheese or real bacon bits. Himalayan Chews
For our line of Himalayan chews, we source traditional aged milk from free-range yaks and cows in Nepal. We slowly cook the milk to caramelize natural milk sugars, then shape it into dense, long-lasting chews. Himalayan chews have a mild cheddar-like flavor even picky pups love. Their extra-hard texture stands up to the most determined chewers for hours of blissful gnawing.
Premium Pork Chews
